Was Hitler kind of right? And did he just go about it the wrong way? Ive been learning a lot about evolution in one of my high school classes and have been pondering a lot about human evolution specifically. Are humans and their minds so evolved that we can accelerate our own evolution and/or genetic selection. i know that killing people is wrong and hitler was a terrible man ,but is there anyway we could accelerate this process to help future generations. Is modern medicine and technology slowing this process by allowing less “fit” people to survive and reproduce and thus creating offspring. Haha what if we took the warning labels off stuff and let this problem work itself out. Any thoughts or opinions would be appreciated.
@jkenealy127, funny that you bring this up. I was watching the documentary “Forks over Knives” where they state an interesting figure. When the Nazi’s occupied Norway, Among the first things they did was confiscate all the livestock and farm animals to provide supplies for their own troops. So the Norwegians were forced to eat mainly plant-based foods.
During those years, the number of circulatory diseases plummeted way down.
I know Hitler had no idea that this was happening and I still don’t advocate the guy for what he did…but through this all, an important fact was brought up.
@jkenealy127, Heads up, people tend to become very defensive when you bring emotional subjects like this up!
I’ve thought in similar ways, never the thought of Hitler. But the idea that we are taking over evolution’s job ( Sorta)
It use to be the survival of the fittest, people are getting all mad at you saying what is fit and what ins’t, “unfit is in the eyes of the beholder” but it isn’t. It use to be in the eyes of evolution and nature! I get scared that we are creating a stupider generation. People can literally live a very simple easy life, which in some peoples minds sound great.
I really like talking about crazy ideas like this, not in the sense of persuasion but just the thinking process it takes to imagine stuff like this!
@splashartist, I think you misread me. I’m defending free speech, not agreeing with Hitler. I was joking that manifest destiny ground my gears. I’m admittedly not much of an analyst, more of a pisces. No hard feelings though, I simply have an old soft spot for what I percieve as bullying.
So God is not real, there is no absolute morality.
If I put 100 black people in Africa and 100 white people from England in a class room who do you think will get higher exam scores?..the white of course
So evolution is the survival of the fittest right.
Scenario: I am a world leader, an atheist, and as most of my fellow world leaders are, a firm believer in the advancement of human civilization, in terms of science, technology and longevity (in future, future generations) of the Human Race.
The black people in Africa are poor, dumb, weak, diseased and plentiful. Western civilization in the Americas are more advanced (barely in some cases).
Should we, as world leaders, just kill off these ‘inferior’ ‘humans’, the land itself is bountiful of oils and minerals needed for the consuming world, and these people show no signs of improving their situation. Perhaps we should help them, us more ‘privileged’ folk? but then again the people are dying off anyway, we should just speed up the process. Helping them will only use up resources and time, slowing the process of advancing human civilization and the longevity of the human race. We can always repopulate and breed with more intelligent, ‘survival fit’ candidates, such as ourselves, the advancing western civilization. Or we can test on these people to discover new remedies and cures for humans, nothing is more accurate then human testing right?
There is no moral absolution because there is no God. Thus morality is flexible now, morality by man.
This is perhaps what the people in power want, Illuminati, The Elite, The Government call it what you want, with this whole depopulation story. Sacrifice for the greater good? These ‘less advanced’ people used as means for a greater end? What is the greater good? Advancement of the human civilization and its longevity in this Universe, or many universes?
Empathy, Sympathy :( . How would you feel if you were these black people in Africa? the diseased, the poor, the uneducated. The ‘less advanced’?!?! :/
When I think about it I can’t stop thinking we will ‘evolve’ into those Aliens depicted in films; asexual, big brains, with little to no visual distinction between each other. Or ‘evolve’ into robots, or a huge super computer on another planet, or planet sized spaceship in another universe. Is this the end goal?
Question is, what sacrifices will be made to advance? to survive? the human race..
@billmasterson098, Morality is just a value we hold, but nothing real has worth, nor is anything worthless, these are just artificial distinctions we have made, usually due to the pleasure or pain we receive from something.
So there is no absolute morality, there should be no morality at all, you can be compassionate without believing it is right or wrong.
But (I know you are just making a point) Africans aren’t inferior, their opportunities are, given the standards western worlds enjoy, there would be no way to make a distinction between one group or another. But group distinctions themselves have no merit, people are unique individuals, it is convenient for us that Africans all appear the same, we can look at them as a group rather than each a distinct human being.
Can the title of this please be changed?
Hitler wanted to create a monoculture of people all with the same features, the same ideas, the same values. His vision was to remove jewish people, because he thought they were stupid. He wanted a police state. He wanted a one-party world.
Its a stupid fucking title. No, this is probably not a good idea and its not ‘right’.
Is genocide right?
Is anything right?
Its probably ‘right’ if you’re on the side that gets to live, isn’t it?
