What are we here for?

 CharlieCraft (@CharlieCraft) 7 years, 10 months ago

So were all here, in this universe, at this time ,but what exactly is our purpose? Could it be to be a simple farmer, a pope, a president, or is it that we are the saviour of the human race and are destined for greater purpose? Maybe. Maybe we are all flying freely. Maybe we have no purpose in this lifetime?

@charliecraft, You decide it, simple as that.

I am starting to feel like, we’re here to get sick of things. I think I’ve had my share with being sick of people selling me spirituality, because the only cure for that sickness is assassinating the complacent parts of their minds, which is spiritual.

@francis-york-morgan, someone once told me “courage comes from getting sick of things”. I find it sort of true, having experienced paranoia about causing the end of the world literally hundreds of times. Once you get sick of the things that hold you back (the spiritual marketplace, for example), you can only go forward and create something in it’s place.

@charliecraft, the purpose of being alive is to be alive. What purpose does a rabbit have? What purpose does a pinecone have? We’re in this incredibly interlinked matrix called existence, yet we’re still not happy, but have to find a reason, a justification for ourselves.

I suppose as @xetado said, we decide it for ourselves. On a grander scale though, you might want to follow a sort of logic (not the only one there is, but…) and see that maybe since we’re the only species that’s capable of changing our behavior in this massive way, we’re supposed to help nature (including ourselves) thrive. That’s what nature does, anyway… it becomes, it spreads, it thrives, it becomes more and more complex, spreads, thrives and so on and so forth. We actually have control over ourselves as individuals, unfortunately not as a species for the time being, and that’s the thing that makes us special. There’s where I’d start looking for the reason of our existence, if I truly believed there was one apart from “simply” existing. :)

Sometimes we human peeps think-f*ck every little thing to the point where we become so stressed, we can’t even get out of our own way, let alone enjoy the walk along the way, don’t we?

What’s the purpose of Life? Why am I here? What will happen after ‘this’? Good grief, these are questions of millennia…gazillions of concepts & ideas available to choose of! Not for nothing’, but there are no perfect or factual answers to any of these, but I can suggest this…
…Enjoy the ‘mystery’ by not worrying about such stuff. Worry does not add a day to one’s lifetime, it does not pay the bills, it will not save your house from foreclosure, it will not keep your dog from passing on…but it can destroy the mechanics of the bod you’re driving in a heartbeat. Just sayin’. :)

I kinda go by “Be what you want to See”. I chose the words ‘Amazing’ & ‘Nice’ to be my defines of ‘Good Life’ here. What words do you liken to? Follow them, Be them…like attracts like, & eventually you realize that Good Life Is…and Happy is your lovely consequence of creating that. It’s quite a contagious process, too.

Have fun with that & Good Journey to ya! :D

I think the mayor goal we have in life is just to live and in the end discover we’ll discover why we were here! Just make it worth! Every single second you are inspiring your self to become better. A better person, a better liver, enjoying this second to prepare yourself to the next second! The illusion we have of present is just to give us a false impression of control, but we are constantly living in the past.
