What are your dreams in life?

 Moses (@moses)8 years ago

What do you want to accomplish in your life? What are your dreams or what do you wish you would of done? Although its never to late to accomplish your dreams.

I myself first off want to be happy no matter what im doing. Being happy is the key to life for me. I dont want the 9 to 5 lifestyle of everybody else of finding a job that i hate to simply make money then have a family and struggle to make ends meet, finally retire and wait to slowly go towards the light.
I want to experience everything this world has to offer. Not from a tourist point of view but the true, raw, unfiltered version. Everything from talking to a random person on the street to going into space.
Career wise I want to be, for lack of a better term "balls deep" in the automotive industry. This is my passion in life and im lucky for finding what I want to do so early in life. I want to build, paint, design, race all sorts of automobiles. Starting my own car company would be at the top of the list. Not for the money, but i want to create performance vehicles that are easy and cheap to work on so the average joe can maintain and modify however they please. All while being environmentally friendly and helping out people around the world.

Hopefully this encourages people to purse their dreams. I feel like I need a kick in the butt to get my life moving forward.

I guess thats enough rambling for now. Your turn.

To become a chemist and help make a difference in some way using my career… oh what the heck!! I guess finding “true love” would be cool too…

@ Eric, just go for that, I have been into cars my whole life, working in the automobile industry, restore classics in my spare time, drive them as often as possible. today worked on a new E class AMG, converting it to and experimentiing with various fuel types. it is like a volcano erupting flooring that thing. Love the whining sound of a charger.

Moses (5) (@moses) 8 years ago ago

^^that would be awesome to do that type of work. how did you get into doing that? did you have to go to school first? im hoping to fix up my neighbors garage and maybe get a project car once it gets a little nicer out. And i know what you mean, my last car was supercharged. Such an awesome sound!

To be a good engineer, or mechanic you have to have “talent” A good mechanic does not need to have a degree, although society seems to think differently. I have been tinkering with mopeds, and dirt bikes from a very young age, I always want to figure out how stuff works, and more so why it stops working. The fun aspect of automobile industry is that it combines so many different techniques it is almost impossible to cover all aspects. It all depends on what you want to do, I mean in the US hotrodding is way more popular, I believe the hotrodding community has always been interesting as it allows for good ideas to get widely used, they recycle stuff, manufacture and create, a very personal attachment to the car…, and open to innovative ideas.

But that’s my take on it.

I have started my first business buying and selling classics, started in LA when on holiday, without a plan.

So how much education you will need ti fulfil your dreams depends on what you want to accomplish, but first get your hands dirty and see if you can get along with nuts and bolts.

p.s. with hotrodding i mean the general gear head community from ricers to rat rodders)

I want to show people the amazing and beautiful things I see. I want to help them appreciate what they have. I want to appreciate what I have. I want to honor God. I want to help people. I want everyone to be happy. I want to understand people and life and everything.

To somehow merge my love for photography, writing and nature into a career. I need to take photography classes to learn the craft first. Then I’d like to work for myself so I am the only person who can dictate what I do with my time. Finally, I’d like to use this to help anyone and everyone I can…the creative arts have the ability to heal and help. The magnificence of nature, in all her simplicity is something I’d like to bring to the world…I know many already do, BUT they won’t do it with the NEMO stamp like meeee! :o)

THIS!

Simply put, my dreams are to go full adventure mode on life, filled with passion, adrenaline, joy, and happiness.
I want to be fearless, completely fearless.
As for the job, I don’t want to work for anybody… I want to be my own boss.

This would be an example of a dream day:

Wake up to the birds singing just before sunrise. As I get out of my bed I look out the window seeing a beautiful sandy beach.
Jump out the window.
Stretch, workout, and meditate in and with nature!
Do some tricking (fliping, twisting, kicking… martial arts basicly), with great soothing music on.
The rest of the day go out and do something very adventurous, whatever that is.
During the night go party.

just to be happy, I think that’s successful enough. More specifically..I’d like to be a pediatric nurse, try to raise other people’s vibrations around me as much as possible…but if the nursing thing doesn’t work out–that’s ok..I just want to be/stay happy.

sounds simple but i think my dream is to just keep my parents happy and everything else just falls into place.. i used to be a right headache and still they never ever lost hope or gave up on me…what goes around comes around and its their time to enjoy.. nothing makes me happier than seeing them happy..

Its very good to hear that marly.
Helping out my parents is one of my main reasons to be part of the money making grind. Ive been wanting to send them on a nice vacation sometime.

I too have been in search of my “dream” for the past few years. Since I have found mine, I have done my best to help others find theirs (a part of my dream in itself). The questions I ask them are as follows:

1. What do you LOVE most in this world?

2. What are you really good at?

3. What do other people say you are really good at?

4. If there were no such thing as money, what would you want to do everyday for the rest of your life?

5. How can you combine all of those things into a purpose?

NOTE: For number 4, it is important to step outside the concept of “i have to make money so that I can pay rent and feed my kids and the dog and pay of my car payments…” Rather, it promotes the idea that whatever you will decide to do will dictate certain daily activities you must do. And if you want to be successful at your job, you must do a good job. But in order to have the motivation to truly do a good job, you need to LOVE what you are doing.

Any thoughts on this?

I am hoping to combine the skills I’m developing as an artist to start a foundation for the greater good. Selling art for a non-profit organization to support wild-life and the preservation of nature would be my all-time goal. I’ll take what it necessary to make a living in the business, nothing more. I don’t want to be super rich or anything. That’s not what I dream of. If I could have enough money to be comfortable and give the rest to better our world, I’ll be happy.

Freedom from money worries. To be able to buy myself an ice cream cone or something without worrying if I can afford to treat myself.
One day I WILL own a VW Beetle (used would be ok).
Some day I will drive that VW Beetle clear down to Key West, and I will never return!

I want to be a successful writer. I don’t need to be a bestselling author, but if only one person loved something I wrote, that would be satisfaction enough.

I want to be financially comfortable when I’m older. I’m certainly not at the moment. I don’t want to be rich, I just don’t want to have to worry about money.

I want to travel and live abroad. With that, I’d love to develop my French further and one day become fluent.

I want to own a pub/cafe. That’s a strange dream that contrasts with most of what I believe in, but I would love to make it happen! I have a perfect image of it in my mind and it wouldn’t be tacky at all. Ah, someday…

I want to volunteer. When I was a child I told myself that when I was older, I would change the world. That sounds cliche, but at the time I didn’t see any other job worth doing. Unfortunately, as I grew older I learned to be selfish and put that dream on the shelf. I do want to be at a place in my life where I can volunteer regularly, though.

On a more materialistic level, I want to live in a beautiful and unique house when I’m older. I spend way too much time online looking at houses for sale all over the world and Googling unique interior design and seeing how people give their homes character. I’m seriously addicted! If I could live in a house like the ones I drool over now… I don’t even.. Wow, it would be amazing.

I feel like the ultimate dream or life goal should always be kept secret, let it marinate over time so when you fulfill it it’ll be ecstatic : ]

but heres a secondary goal

Im hoping with a chemistry background to have a profound affect on something unknown still not understood…neuroscience, it’ll be a fulfillment when I see masses shift the way they think about philosophy and the reality of this world.

Mine would be to serve my country (USA) to the best of my abilities, die with no regrets, marry a great woman who challenges me and makes me a better man, have kids and pass on my knowledge (hopefully it is useful stuff for them), come closer with God.

be the perception process of an art work. But I already achieveded it, just in case, you know, being perishable and everything, a piece of flesh flapping about in pumps providing the bedazzle for the eyes and the brain meat to work.

Although you never know, maybe you’re a pair of eyes forever, with all these wavelengths existing. Maybe two energies come out of your eyes and combust into a ball of an aura for a subatomic particle that was feelin a bit blue, and then he’s like fuck it, I’m going in this other direction. That’s my dream, to be a dream in life that life dreams.

But in case I sounded like I dropped some lsd into my body lotion and am completely useless member of society, I should probably reframe that my dream is to stimulate people’s imagination through visual illustration of unseen forms that influence everybody’s thoughts.
