What can do we promote universal peace?

Anonymous (@)7 years, 3 months ago

We are all human, after all, and all possess the same basic needs, wants and wishes.

I hate judgmentalism and accept all for who they are, and I presume many here are the same. So what can humanity in general do to promote universal peace amongst ALL of us?

Do we now. Same basic needs wants and wishes. I don’t think so.

Nothing. Stop promoting and do what’s next to you.

yes, we all don’t need food and water.

hmmm….I like how spiritualists claim to re-write life to suit their own needs/agendas loll

Food and water are basic needs. Wishes and wants are personal choices.

I don’t know what you like but there is no such thing as spiritualists. :)

Realize that it’s not just “us” we need to create peace with, but everything else in the universe as well. This includes being more mindful of other people, other species, and the environment as a whole. Most of us don’t see how interconnected everything is. We solely put emphasis on ourselves and the human race, separated from everything else. This is not the way. You see when all resources are used to maintain one thing, everything suffers including that one thing. But when resources are balanced out between everything, everything benefits and flourishes, including ourselves because we’re apart of that everything. We thrive together, not separately.

Not sure why you even replied to that fool.

1. Be the change. Never give into violence.
2. Give to the change – if you don’t trust charities, travel, and then give.
3. Raise awareness.
4. Sign petitions and do the extra things usually asked, like writing ministers and so on.
5. Effort and action is Always better than inaction, even if it is in vain (aforementioned petitions may not work, but they both raise awareness and actualize intention). You have to get into the habit of helping in order to stay an activist and avoid becoming an inactivist.

What can humanity do? Nothing. Humanity is not a separate thing. Humanity is the cause of war, “judgmentalism” and strife as much as it is a process towards peace and harmony. Humanity can not do anything, only individuals can.

“So what can humanity in general do to promote universal peace amongst ALL of us?” we can ‘force’ morals :P (find a new word to call it if you dont like word ‘morals’)

[Hidden]
Anonymous (175) (@) 7 years, 3 months ago ago

i don’t care.

[Hidden]
Bono (18) (@bono95zg) 7 years, 3 months ago ago

well you asked what to do. people b4 u decided to use moral

[Hidden]
Anonymous (175) (@) 7 years, 3 months ago ago

er.. I did. I simply said that morals didn’t exist.

[Hidden]
Bono (18) (@bono95zg) 7 years, 3 months ago ago

what do you mean when you say ‘moral’? what meaning does that word have for you?

[Hidden]
Anonymous (175) (@) 7 years, 3 months ago ago

eh? Morals don’t exist. Have I said anything else?

[Hidden]
Bono (18) (@bono95zg) 7 years, 3 months ago ago

you keep using word ‘moral’ and i dont know what you mean by it :P

[Hidden]
Anonymous (175) (@) 7 years, 3 months ago ago

eh? I’m simply asserting a truth.

[Hidden]
Bono (18) (@bono95zg) 7 years, 3 months ago ago

what do you mean when you say ‘moral’???? whats so hard to understand in that question? give me your definition of that word or whatever? when you say ‘moral doesnt exist’ all i read is ‘uiqwrngiqojo doesnt exist’. pls explain yourself.

[Hidden]
Anonymous (175) (@) 7 years, 3 months ago ago

Morals don’t exist.

This is common knowledge, so I don’t get why this needs to be repeated.

[Hidden]
Bono (18) (@bono95zg) 7 years, 3 months ago ago

i know that, you have been repeating it forever. im not asking you does moral exist or not. im asking you to give me your DEFINITON OF THAT WORD. what do you think it means when people say ‘moral’?

[Hidden]
Anonymous (175) (@) 7 years, 3 months ago ago

lulz.. rright and wrong in human conduct.

This clearly exists, per examples some see lying as wrong in all contexts, whilst others do not.

And?

[Hidden]
Bono (18) (@bono95zg) 7 years, 3 months ago ago

and thats all. lol

someone who saw lying as wrong has a reason to do so (or not – traditional value). people developed collection of things they consider wrong looking from perspective of fairness blalbalbal. and they call that moral. even animals have behaviour we interpret as moral behaviour. :P

[Hidden]
Anonymous (175) (@) 7 years, 3 months ago ago

er.. OK. but then morals don’t exist, this is the norm.

[Hidden]
Bono (18) (@bono95zg) 7 years, 3 months ago ago

so they exist as a norm.

[Hidden]
Bono (18) (@bono95zg) 7 years, 3 months ago ago

i consider myself moral nihilist just for info.

They would have to exist for you to claim they did not exist.
you affirmed they’re existence by speaking about them.

I understand exactly what you are saying and I have thought about this topic many times.

The problem begins with education. False premises such as “Survival of the fittest” contribute to our society’s problems when it comes to a lack of interconnectedness. This creates the thought that people need to get ahead in life without taking all other organisms into consideration. Media promotes the human ego by indulging them with crap reality TV and news that only emphasizes the lowest form on knowledge out there. We have so much junk blocking us from obtaining real knowledge that it has become easier to just stay uneducated and continue on the path that the government has chosen for you (referring to american life).

I could go on and on about this but I think those are the first steps.
Different countries have developed better ways of managing people and helping them grow as a group but I personally feel that the American government is obsessed with money over anything else.

TO add: Marlon is nothing more than a troll (not too good of one).
Desi, you say you accept all for who they are but you begin arguing with the first guy who runs his mouth in a different direction. Save your energy as soon as you see a comment that doesn’t make much sense.

So I made a contrary point? Big deal, it’s called being a human.

Universal peace is impossible so long as diversity exists. The only chance of universal peace lies in total ethnic & cultural homogeneity…which is equally as impossible and (in my opinion) less desirable than conflict.

But think about it: Can you REALLY have peace if there is no conflict? You need one to define the other. I think a balance of peace & conflict is better.

[Hidden]
Anonymous (175) (@) 7 years, 3 months ago ago

I’d agree, but then conflict arises from competing interests.

In truth, the only time there is no conflict is when there are no humans.

[Hidden]
i4c1m2b (70) (@i4CiM2B) 7 years, 3 months ago ago

You could have a peaceful world without conflict by just enjoying it for what it is and rejecting the need to define it or if you still insist on duality then contrast peace with noise. can’t have peace without noise nor noise without peace, so along as their is noise you can have peace with out the need for conflict

[Hidden]
Obviously, you’re not a golfer (605) (@donjaime23) 7 years, 3 months ago ago

“Enjoying it (the world) for what it is and rejecting the need to define it…”

1. What does that mean?
2. How do you do that?
3. How would that prevent conflict?

If you want to live in peace you have to be peaceful. Nothing else matters in the first stage except you first working on yourself to be peaceful. And once you’re peaceful, everything else becomes peaceful.
