What lessons did you learn as a child that helped you become a better person or have stuck with you throughout your life?
I thank my Mama everyday for this; Be nice to everyone even if they are not nice to you. No, don’t let them walk over you, but leave them remembering you for your kindness. Kind of like first impressions and last impressions. You don’t have to be their friend, just be nice. From growing up experience, I haven’t even seen or talked to them so it’s not like what I did say to them even mattered.
My family taught me: You are you and only you, no one can change it and don’t change it for no one. (It took me a long awkward relationship to really figure that one out.)
