There’s a huge collective knowledge here, and I’d like to tap into it. What do you guys (and ladies, of course) know about dragons? Symbology, mythology, etc? I realize I could do a search on Google, but I’m about to go to work and would like other people’s input.
More specifically, something called, "the path of the dragon". Is that a real thing? What does it mean? In meditation I saw a dragon that spoke of it, saying I had chosen to walk the path of the dragon.
So, like I said–what do you all know about dragons?
@Manimal – have you ever heard of “the path of the dragon”? The more I think about it, and the more I read from people (other than Skyrim comments), I’m starting to piece it together bit by bit. This dragon didn’t seem like it wanted to fight; it was almost like it wanted to help me. And it told me I had chosen “the path of the dragon”.
In some disciplines of martial arts, the dragon represents wisdom, contrasted by the tiger representing wrath. Similar to the Id and Superego. The dragon is not unlike a demigod, as suggested above, whereas the tiger might be mortal. And although the reptile might represent mastery among the athletic, to those acknowledgers of Eastern Astrology, the dragon can manifest blessings as well as malice.
@jake arends – I meditate during cold showers, usually in the dark. This time though, the lights were on, and I didn’t have to work to get into a meditative state. As soon as I closed my eyes, my mind was clear and this dragon appeared.
Try the cold shower meditating out–it can get pretty intense!
