What happened to be life changing in 2013?

I want to read about your experiences of looking back – what was something you did or thought or happened to you that caused some unexpected, significant, or interesting change? Or pick anything else you remember about this past year that you enjoy remembering as part of your history.

@paintedbeings, I hitch hiked for the first time ever which is something I always wanted to do and was very afraid of. Altogether on the adventure I was given rides by 3 different strangers. It went as perfectly as such a thing could possibly go. I will remember it and be glad I took the chance for the rest of my life.

I stopped existing in a unconscious manner, and began to live more consciously.
I found this awesome ass site!!! (one of my favorite things)
I endured a lot of challenges that made me grow more as a person.
I set and accomplished some pretty big goals. Every time I look back on them, I know without a doubt, will and determination can make anything happen.

What about you, @paintedbeings?

starting creating art for the first time, started poetry and using my voice to speak and sing for the first time, got immensely good at dancing, made a lot of good friends and learned a lot about shitty people plus unfortunate truths about dealing with drug addicts and how to respond to them as friends

I felt love.

And did some things I wanted to do for a while.

Its been an awsome year. I’ve completed the pancha karma treatment in Kerala, southern India – one quite daunting task to accomplish. 24 days of intense purification and I met some really interesting people down there, including a sensei in my yoga teacher who taught me how to practise Sivananda yoga, pranayama & kapala bhati and a lot more. Btw I got my test results back and they are all better than previously, even though I took a little medication before.
I experimented with lots of different meditation techniques and ended up with vipassana; i think it will be one of my most valuable tools for the rest of my life.

I approached total strangers and got to know some cool people. I actually tried simple pick up, after watchin a video on youtube (I was scared to death rofl), and got around 10 numbers to different chicks (although I havent gone on a single date yet, but its comming for sure:p)

I listened to Alan Watts for the first time and wow what a gift…I started writing my book and have so far completed maybe 80 pages. I tried Falun Dafa. I changed my diet from low carb-high fat to paleo to ayurvedic and eventually a mix of all my collective dietary knowledge.

I could seriously continue for an hour or more…this has been an awsome year and Im so looking forward to stepping up the game even more in 2014!
