What is all this talk about higher frequencies?

 eextreme (@eextreme) 7 years, 9 months ago

I’ve been hearing all sort of topics about higher frequencies, vibrational energy, and related word combinations and ideas. It has been continuously associated with enlightenment, spirituality, and the divine. All I can see is that you could reach really high frequencies by setting yourself on fire, you’ll influence the objects around you all the way till the end.

Just joking, but what does this idea mean to you? It seems to me as an over-glorified (and over-used) term to explain things that cannot be proven right or wrong.

The idea of frequencies within the universe is not over-used, and in my opinion, is one of the most fascinating topics of modern thought and science. The idea goes that our brain’s activities are ignited by receiving information from the universe which exists externally to us, then re-coding that information, which exists as a frequency wave of whatever energy, and re-emitting it out into the universe. Basically our thoughts exist as various frequencies that affect the world we’re encased in and create the reality you exist in. If you have happy thoughts, you’re vibrational frequency or brain waves, will vibrate at a higher rate, while depressing thoughts cause lower vibrations. The friends that you have, the people you get along with, and the women that you fall in love with all share the same frequency as you do. . . you all think alike on a basis level to become friends. This frequency creates and destroys your existence within the universe, it is karma, it is dogma, it is thinking. It’s actually quite fascinating. . . to think creates one’s own existing and reality itself, makes life seem like a dream we all created collectively. . .

I’m a little new agey. I think I might be able to elaborate on some of these concepts. You might not vibe with my explanations, but that’s ok. What works for some, might not work for all. Some people resonate more with scientific views, others with religious, some with philosophical, etc. We’re all trying to get a better picture of reality. To each their own way of doing so.

When ever I talk about vibration, I usually mean it in the context of emotional state or level of perception. When talking about it as an emotional state, vibration describes the spectrum of emotion your operating from. Happiness, joy, bliss, ecstasy – those are all high vibrational frequencies. Sorrow, hatred, resentment, fear – those are all low vibrational frequencies. You can tell whether an emotion is of a high or low vibration by the way they feel. For example when your really happy, someone might imply that your “high on life”. Or when your feeing so good that nothing can “bring you down”. High vibrations are of a positive nature. Low vibrations are the opposite, negative nature. For example, when your depressed you feel very low, very down.

Vibration, as in perception, describes your conscious state of awareness. Right now as your reading this, your putting a majority of your focus and attention on your eyes and that data that they’re bringing in. What’s going on in the background though? As of right now you might be shifting your attention to your ears and what’s being heard, or to your skin and what’s being felt. Altering your conscious state of perception allowed you to get a “wider” picture of what’s going on. Raising your vibration, that is expanding your consciousness awareness, gives you a more objective view of reality. The more aware you become, the more you are able to perceive.

Now I’ll touch on the higher frequencies and higher dimensional beings. So, the way it goes is that everything is energy and vibrates at different frequencies. The physical, material plane vibrates at very low frequencies. Above the physical plane at higher frequencies, there are other planes of existence and also higher dimensional beings as well. Higher planes cannot be perceived with the physical senses because they are outside physical perception. To get a better picture of this, please refer to this image:
Picture first viewed in this thread.

Something else that needs to be mentioned is the concept of us being multidimensional beings. In simplest terms, we have more than one body. The body and it’s senses is what our consciousness uses to explore and perceive different planes of existence. We have a physical body, etheric body, astral body, celestial body, and others that I can’t remember.

If you think most of this is poppycock, it’s cool. I’m just really fascinated with the metaphysical and like to explore these concepts. Some people will vibe better with a description like this: http://rationalwiki.org/wiki/Vibration#Woo

The thing is how do you know happiness is a higher vibrational state? Other than making things seem better than they really are. From the graph above, it seems that we see and hear things in the higher Hz of the spectrum already. Would hearing above 10^5 Hertz and seeing above 10^15 make any difference to our daily live (other then distracting signals?).

The only concept that I can associate with this frequency thing is that when your are sleepy or depressed you often see less and hear less of the world around you, and in sleep you don’t see or hear anything, but you still “See” and sometime “Hear” in dreams. Does that mean that dreams are at a low frequency (yet lots of people claim great revelation and related things within it)

The above seem to be built upon a lot of assumptions. I’ve heard and experienced being in an astral body, but etheric, celestial, and related ideas seem a big leap or deviation from there.

This idea of vibration freqency is poorly defined, too many question, and too little answers other than what people assume is right. I can see this frequency thing with elements and physical object. But with humans (and the idea of atoms and so forth) all you get are burns and other heat related injuries.

I mainly differentiate emotional states by the way they feel. The best way I can describe it is when I’m really happy and filled with joy, I feel as though there’s a lot of energy pulsating within me. When I’m down and feeling depressed, I feel little to no energy. For me it’s all about the feeling I guess. If you research this around the web, you’ll come across some charts describing the different levels of emotions on a scale. I think the original concept came from David Hawkins, who was a well-acknowledged spiritualist, among many other things. This article talks about the map he created that describes the different levels of consciousness in pretty good detail. Here’s an illustration of it:

Regarding if we were able to hear or see in a higher frequency spectrum, that is interesting to think about. I think we would experience some pretty noticeable differences. Above visible light in the electromagnetic spectrum there is ultra violet, x-ray, and gamma. The only one I can really visualize is x-ray. Might give things a ghost like, almost transparent look. If our hearing range increased we would be a lot more sensitive to sound, which would enhances our awareness of surroundings.

I don’t really know what frequency dreams would be at. I almost want to say they are at higher frequencies because of astral projection and whatnot. You really have to increase your awareness in order to experience it.

The idea of all our different bodies has its origins in the occult. I first came across the concept in this astral projection book I read. It described 7 planes, but said we can only access 5. Explained how we have a different body for each plane we can access. The 3 bodies that we interact with the most are physical (obviously), etheric, and astral. Etheric would be our energy body, so think of the aura and chi. And astral body we use to explore dreams. The concept of different bodies does seem a little out there, but once you start working more with them, they feel just as “real” as the physical body.

Yea, these things aren’t the easiest to understand or really research because of how spread out the information is, and its hard to find reliable sources you vibe with. You really have to use your own judgment in order to decipher these things, which is very subjective. Things become more diluted with each person’s perception of the information, which is variable. I almost wish there was a centralized body of knowledge I could use to research these things from, but then it would be a religion.

Awesome. I just bought new headphones and I want to puke and cry at the same time from the new way of hearing songs.

Explain this.

GymnastHateHit (1) (@Corman8094) 7 years, 5 months ago ago

Your ears probably sense how much those fancy headphones cost and your body is rejecting them…. not bashing your head phones just salty that I don’t have any…

Marlon (97) (@shoeopener) 7 years, 5 months ago ago

They’re not fancy. I don’t even know what they are. The holes on them are like mini speakers and you can hear music from them with a little better quality than the average laptop from a distance. I put them on and the way songs sound is just different from what I was used to. I couldn’t hear the broad spectrum of frequencies the same way and I got this bad feeling in my stomach. I’ve listened and created music on something completely different for a long time, it felt like something was just cut off.

Saddest story of my life.

Alex Eastman (71) (@alex) 7 years, 5 months ago ago

Honestly, I don’t buy into the vibrational frequencies thing either. From observation, I have ALMOST had an out of body experience (I assume because it is the same thing many people describe before one), and right before I did I felt this unbelievably intense vibration through my entire body that hit me like a bolt of lightning. It hit so hard that I jerked awake and accidentally ended it. That is the only personal evidence I have about this.
The unfortunate dilemma about spirituality is that it is not something that can be measured, quantified, or examined by science. Because of that, most skeptics cannot believe that it is more than some hippy bullshit, and I completely get that; it does sound like some hippy bullshit. It isn’t something that can be measured, quantified or examined by science, but it can be by yourself. Try it out. If it doesn’t work, what do you have to lose?

Alex Eastman (71) (@alex) 7 years, 5 months ago ago

I forgot to include these awesome Tesla quotes.
“The day science begins to study non-physical phenomena, it will make more progress in one decade than in all the previous centuries of its existence.”

“If you want to find the secrets of the universe, think in terms of energy, frequency and vibration.”

eextreme (31) (@eextreme) 6 years, 9 months ago ago

Reviving an old post. Is the internet a non-physical phenomena?

It’s just language to help our brains understand. In sound a low frequency is a deep bass sound and a high frequency is a squeal. If you look into cymatics you see that the high frequency have a lot of complexity. Like many weaves as opposed to a single thread. So to “reach a higher frequency” is to set your self into a state of increased complexity.
It could have something to do with connections in the brain. A low frequency brain wave is sleeping and high is being awake. The best time to make decisions is when you’re awake.
It is all vibration, the world is made of energy, like electricity and magnets. I think some force on the energy creates matter. The type of force will bring certain types of matter. So if you bring about a higher type of power or force or energy unto the matter, it will raise it complexity, its connectivity and bring it to a more beautiful state. A state of highest symmetry, highest geometry.
I find it good to be constantly aware of your state of being, and i’ll spend a good time focusing on raising my awareness or frequency and it helps bring out a better experience. It’s like the difference between a headache and a clear head.

Hope something here makes sense, it’s hard to explain.
