What would you choose ?

The work you love which pays less or The work you MIGHT hate but pays a lot more

I have this course (Tourism and Travel management) and also this other course (Diploma in Marketing) .

I would love to work in a field which there is a good chance of travelling a lot. But it pays so less. The field has slow growth and will need more years of expertise before i can earn enough.  I need money, cos I am spending so much for my studies and I have to take care of my dad and mom too soon enough.

Diploma in marketing seems dull ( I might end up with a job i love, but what if i didn’t) . It pays a lot,  hell lot more though.

I am also aware that both fields has potential to earn a lot ( or not), but I am just going through statistics and the alumni initial placement reports.

so, should i go after money or a job in the tourism field?

you can get a job oversees easily with a diploma in marketing and get paid significantly more. travel tourism will be the first thing to go if the economy were to crash so i’d play is smart and go marketing. you could still get into the travel industry with marketing anyways!

Always remember that money comes and goes. You can not hold yourself back from experinces that will futher you to growth. Yes more money would be nice, but to get nicer things not to get a nicer life.

There is room for growth in each field. I think what could ccome out of travelling and meeting new people is far more the the money you would get. You could meet your next career oppurtunity or find something youre totally in love with while simply doing your job!

Go for what your heart says!
