Hi,

My name is Elisabeth. I am a 20 year old girl from Norway. I spent year travelling Australia working and chilling. As my travel got longer than expected I didnt make it home in time to start school and it left me with yet another year to travel (bohooo? ;) I would not mind working abroud at all. I got reception, bar and farm experence.

So now I have been working for (soon) months and I plan to do another travel after christamas. But where to go?

So I got a perfect health, supportive friends and family and solid savings. The plan is to be on the road in January, but literally having the world in my hand hasnt made anything easier. I guess I was hoping something would pull me in the right direction, maybe you could help?

Been a few places, but I would definitely recommend putting Amsterdam on your list, I’m a lover of Paris, especailly Montmarte. Chateau de Versailles is gorgeous and just a little outside the main city. Typical choices, I know, but I think there’s a good reason for that

I advise you to go to Asia, like Sri Lanka, Thailand, Cambodia…

I think African countries are very interesting. Try to visit!

Depends what you want to see. If you want nice cities and culture I recommend Prague, Amsterdam, Brussels, Paris and Budapest.
If you want something a bit more exotic and much cheaper there’s east Europe. Places like Plovdiv – Bulgaria and Bucharest – Romania. Old cities full of history and culture, with very cool nature around. Sarandë – Albania is especially good for a Norwegian traveller because they try to get more Nordic tourists so many places even have Norwegian and Swedish on signs and menus and such. Plus, the Blue eye lagoon is one of the most beautiful places I’ve ever been.

If you want to go somehwere really exotic and generally dirt cheap, Southeast Asia and South America is where it’s at. Thailand, Peru or Argentina are places I’m planning on visiting after hearing so much great stuff about them.

On the other hand, probably anywhere you go in the world will seem cheap compared to Norge. And warm and traversable and, most of all, dry.

Enjoy your journey!

I would personally go to the most desolate places on earth. See what the world is like without the chaos of life, I’d suggest starting in Antarctica, take the path less traveled you know?
