Albert Einstein or Harry Vardon?

I don’t know enough about either to really give an opinion, but this video of Neil DeGrasse Tyson answering the question of “Who’s the greatest physicist in history?” is funny :)

I don’t have sound on my laptop, it sucks. But Harry Vardon was a champion golfer, that was the nature of my post

Oooh, I see. I think I get it. So in some sense your really asking who’s the better physicist – someone who studies physics, or someone who has knowledge of physics from an experiential standpoint? Someone who’s knowledge of physics comes from theory, or from who’s knowledge of physics comes from practice? Am I on the right track?

Yeah just about, I mean Einstein was brilliant but could he hit a green from 100 yards? Or catch a fly ball?

You could ask the opposite of vardon – could he describe physical laws from a high level mathematical standpoint? But honestly, not sure it really matters.

I’d say it just depends on the application. Sometimes it’s good to have someone with theoretical knowledge, other times practical. Better or worse really are relative to a context.
