The old question. Thought I’d toss it up and see what comes down. To me this existence exists purely for itself and were here to experience life in any and all forms.
Also that other manner of exsistance are impossible besides this one, with respect to different fundamental laws of reailty and levels of awareness which in my opinion are in unknowable sectors of this reality which are hidden from us.
What do you think?
@lamekillers, First question who is the one that asks the question. And what exactly are these “we” you ask about, and what is “here”? Without proper understanding of these, you cannot go further with knowing the answer. Funny thing is, by finding out who is asking the question and what is here, you will have found the answer to the question.
As cliche as this sounds, one night while I was meditating on my couch I decided to ask, out loud, the question “what is the meaning of life?”
And in my damn exact same voice (but not coming from within me whatsoever, more like across the room) I heard the question “what do you want it to mean”
Which scared the hell out of me at first until I began to really think about what was said. Then I just laughed myself silly at how simple this potential explanation for EVERYTHING was
But that’s just my 2 cents =)
“We are here to unlearn the teachings of the church, state, and our educational system. We are here to drink beer. We are here to kill war. We are here to laugh at the odds and live our lives so well that Death will tremble to take us.”
We are here to be here. We are here to ask the question of who we really are. Who we really are is the one who witnesses: consciousness. Everything else is just a lens through which to view ourselves in a new light.
