Why Generation Y Yuppies Are Unhappy
This is a great little article that holds a lot of truth for my generation, worth the read :)

I have felt this way many times, and have felt discouraged by the seeming success of others, what do you think?

Coincidentally I happened upon this article last night before going to sleep, and I was struck by how true it really is for both me and many of my peers. However my thoughts on it were not negative, as in fact it motivated me to pursue a profession that I dearly would like to do – but I was doubting as it took so long to actually be anywhere near successful. I think instead of just lowering our expectations for success, we should see this as motivation to push ourselves harder to achieve becoming ‘whatever we want to be’.
Having a successful career doesn’t equal happiness… Having pride and being rewarded for working hard can make you happy, but the thing is not everyone’s rewarding system comes from being better than others.
And this is probably true for every generation, because people can be quite happy with bettering others.
