Working abroad — seeking advice

After making my first post on HE not too long ago, I have since come to the personally realize, especially through the wisdom and insight of others, that with this new period of freedom in my life — the freedom from responsibilities, schedules, and obligations — since I have graduated, I need to spend this time experiencing life. And for me, this involves life outside of the US. This is why I have now mentally decided to make the next big step to get out in the world, for however long, and live and work in a new region of the world.

This is where I am seeking advice! Any and all tips, recommendations or insight of any sort. I have already explored several options — I have applied to a program to teach english in Thailand (just waiting to hear back), I have searched through several WWOOFing websites for different regions of the world, and I am always looking through this great list that has several websites for how to find work in another country: http://www.escapenormal.com/2011/02/23/top-6-resources-for-cheap-or-free-travel/

The problem for me is I quite literally have an endless world of possibilities! That’s why I come to my HE community to ask if any of you have personally experienced one of these paths or if you believe there is a great way for one to successfully get out into a different part of the world. I’m excited to see what the world has to offer.
