You wanna know what's FWUCKED up about the internet?

Dan (@danfontaine) 8 years, 10 months ago

Everybody has the same handwriting as you.
Handwriting says a LOT about expression – it’s directly linked to your entire nervous system and yes, your emotional core.
What is the grand implication of everybody having the same handwriting as you?
You cannot differentiate someone Else’s thoughts from your own. The thoughts become yours. This creates a great level of aversion toward other usernames. These people that are objects – just as a thought is an attempt to make something an object. These people become things in your head, NOT ACTUAL PEOPLE.
You can dissect them to your liking. Just fucking go right on and make shit up about who they are and what they think. All these judgments come RIGHT BACK TO DOWN TO YOU YOURSELF YOU FUCK.

Y’ALL HAVE BEEN WARNED.

This applies to those still being dominated by their thoughts. If you can genuinely feel the presence of another human being through the internet I do applaud your empathy and concentration.

@danfontaine, Why so serious? to quote your own words just an hour ago:

“You want a hospice? That’s what your family and the friends you make are for.
Your feelings don’t matter on the internet, it’s unrealistic to think that way – these are minds making exchange, not bodies – this is strictly intellectual.
If you can’t take the heat GTFO the kitchen.”

@papashibshib, Seems we have a frontier.
I don’t grasp onto any ideas of mine. That’s why I am awesome.
If you could see my beautiful caps lock handwriting you would understand.

@papashibshib, Btw, liking Cunninlynguists and A$AP dipshit Rocky at the same time is impossible. So don’t you question my madness.

@danfontaine, I thought that, but the more I listen to the new A$AP the more I can’t ignore that the production is stellar.

I agree, what is something I found weird and that I didn’t notice before is that facebook doesn’t have sound I somehow managae to substitute words with what people would say in their voice but really it’s a quiet application and some reason that’s just made me look at facebook with a totally different light ( although I can’t say it was a bright one in the first place)

@danfontaine, I was merely messing with you by coding a different font

That said, you actually have an incredibly legitimate point and I didn’t mean to detract too far form it with my little smart aleck sterf.

In fact, it would be quite interesting to find a legitimate way of reestablishing this expressiveness we are lacking on the internet. Not really sure how to manage this, aside from using styluses.

The anonymity of font versus written word does carry some benefit though, say for those who have trouble communicating when things get too personal…those who need a little distance to feel safe. Sure, over time it would be a goal to have this hesitancy go away but, to start, being hidden beneath the uniform could be constructive.

I’m really liking the pics of handwriting. It really shows individualism.

@danfontaine, @papashibshib, I wear an Aes shirt with the Labor Days logo and a lot of the time people start up some shitty argument about A$AP. What’s your favorite Aesop Rock song?

Its give and take. It does lose some of your essence, but it makes it accessible for everyone. Id lose out on a lot of information if I couldn’t read someone’s handwriting, or it was distracting.

Honestly @alexishungry, i only found out about Aesop Rock after @danfontaine introduced me to him. I haven’t heard much yet but from what i’ve heard so far i quite like ‘None shall pass’
