Brene Brown: The power of vulnerability Brene Brown studies human connection — our ability to empathize, belong, love. In a poignant, funny talk at TEDxHouston, she shares a deep insight from her research, one that sent her on a personal quest to know herself as well as to understand humanity. A talk to share.

This is excellent. The talk really resonated with me as I REALLY struggle with allowing myself to be vulnerable. I have an intense fear of the sob fest that might ensue if I let go. Thanks for the brilliant insight.

I agree, it’s excellent. She managed to describe what it is I have been struggling with for a long time as well. And I suspect this is a common issue. I’m working on opening up more often, so as to avoid a total outbreak whenever I’m tired. :) It’s actually human to be flawed and imperfect and of course we all know this in principal (!!!), I never judge others – just myself – I haven’t been consistent with what I mean and what I feel. I haven’t allowed myself to be totally open. And now, thanks to this eloquent woman, I’m starting to see a clear pattern.
